MEET THE PERSON BEHIND THE LENS

Hello friends, welcome to me

Kayla Siegfried is a nature and floral photographer who found her way behind the camera while searching for stillness, healing, and a deeper connection to the world around her. What began as a quiet creative outlet soon became a love for chasing light, wandering gardens, and documenting the fleeting beauty of each season. Drawn to wildflowers and sun-drenched moments, her work feels soft, reflective, and gently nostalgic.

“In slowing down, I found more than photographs—I found myself.”

Let us be reminded to slow down, breathe deeply, and find beauty in the in-between moments—trusting that sometimes the most meaningful paths are the scenic ones.

my 2026 goal

Word of the Year: Renew

This year, I’m skipping the long list of New Year’s resolutions.

Instead, I’m choosing a word.

Renew

Renew my mindset when I’m tired.

Renew my creativity when I feel stuck.

Renew my patience, my hope, and my gratitude.

It’s a gentle reminder that I don’t have to become someone new overnight — I just get to return to what matters, again and again. To rest, to grow, to begin fresh without erasing the past.

Here’s to renewing the parts of ourselves that deserve care, and carrying that intention through every season of the year.

Sunset of the Month

This is the notorious De Pere Locktender House right off the Fox River, and this image was actually featured in a magazine by Photography & More. You can see the full magazine with all the other AMAZING photographers in this issue here

“That was her magic—she could still see the sunset, even on the darkest days.” – Atticus
